The first Eastern Super League is about to start on 3/1. Although the original league has been reduced to a cup system this time, it is somewhat uninspiring. But after all, this is the first cup match between Taiwan and other Asian countries since the start of the two major professional basketball teams. In addition to this short 5-day cup match, “MOMO Sports YT Channel” will conduct a live broadcast. In order to make it easier for everyone to understand the player information during the broadcast, this time, we will make some simple basic introductions for the 8 participating teams. .
Rules for this tournament
1. It seems that if the team has 3 foreign generals in the Eastern Super League this time, they can all be brought in, but a maximum of 2 foreign generals can be registered in a game, and the playing time of the two foreign generals is not limited.
2. National leagues have different regulations on local players, but this time the Eastern Super League Champions Cup respects the definition of local players in national leagues. Therefore, in principle, American-Philippine mixed-race players from the Philippines (passports are obtained after the age of 16), Japanese mixed-race players, and Chinese players from the Bay Area Pterosaurs (Chinese-Australian mixed-race, Chinese-Lao mixed-race) are all considered local. As for PLG Chinese (Zhang Wenping) There is no problem with being regarded as a local, but the foreigner Shi Boen may have to reconfirm, but I estimate that the probability of being regarded as a local is very high.
3. This time, the Eastern Super League has opened up Asian players, but because it has been reduced to a cup, all countries are probably not interested in looking for Asian players. In particular, PLG and PBA, which do not have their own Asian foreign rules, did not use Asian foreign countries, while Seoul SK did not use Asian foreign countries because the salary of local players had exceeded the upper limit. The teams that have used Asia are as follows:
Anyang KGC: Rhenz Abando (Philippines)
Ryukyu Gold King: Carl Tamayo (Philippines)
Bay Area Pterosaur: Sedrick Barefield (Philippines)
King of Utsunomiya: Yang Jae-min (Korea)

Team Profile:
The predecessors of the team, Terry Ares, Weilai Hunter and other teams, have experienced the CBA and SBL periods, but they have never been able to win the championship. After Fubon took over in 2014, they began to actively recruit troops. Especially in 2016, after successively poaching Puyuan champions such as Cai Wencheng and Xu Jinzhe, they finally won the SBL championship in 2019. After winning the championship, Fubon decided to withdraw from SBL and switch to ABL, and actively operated the Taipei Peace Stadium as its home stadium. During the ABL period, Fubon brought back the golden generation Lin Zhijie, Zeng Wending and others who worked hard in the CBA one after another, and won the second consecutive championship in PLG. Due to the large number of available soldiers in the formation and the bottomless bench, Fubon was nicknamed “Universal State” by fans.
current record: 14 wins and 8 losses, winning rate 64%, third in the league
