Dear gaming franchise, Earthworm Jim will win a new animated series.
The animation will mix action and comedy in the adventures of Jim, an earthworm that fights evil beings across the galaxy. The studio responsible for the series is Passion Pictures, known for producing short films for the Marvel, episodes of Love, Death & Robots and band clips Gorillaz. The team will be led by Marc Bodin-Joyeux (Ant Man).
To give a taste of the new production, the studio unveiled a teaser. The video is an “interview” with Jim, which promises great adventures and the participation of new characters. Check above.
The project is a production of Interplay Entertainment Corp., which owns the rights to the games, in partnership with the APA and will be produced by Michel K. Parandi e Aaron Ticket.
The information is from the Variety.
It’s worth remembering that Earthworm Jim already starred in his own animated series in the 1990s in a Warner Bros. production. The new animation still doesn’t have a defined release date.
