An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 was recorded in the area of the city of Puerto Obaldia in Panama, reported the American Geophysical Institute (USGS), cited by Reuters. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake, BTA informs.
At the same time, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 off the coast of Colombia. The epicenter of the quake was 134 km west of Monteria, a city of about 272,000, according to the center. The outbreak was at a depth of 10 km.
For the time being, there are no reports of casualties or damage, TASS notes.
