At the same time, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 off the coast of Colombia. The epicenter of the quake was 134 km west of Monteria, a city of about 272,000, according to the center. The outbreak was at a depth of 10 km.
