The earth trembles violently in Sicily where at 21.27 a magnitude 4.4 earthquake was recorded which had as its epicenter the sea in front of the Ragusano coast, in Marina di Acate, at a depth of 30 kilometers, but whose energy has propagated up to in Palermo, crossing almost the whole island.

“I was so afraid, everything was shaking”, confessed Stefano Sucato, who lives in Comiso (Ragusa), after the earthquake. “Many people have fled and are still on the street,” he confirmed. The quake was felt in many municipalities in eastern Sicily but also in some areas of the western side. “My wife is in Lascari, in the Palermo area, and she too has warned her,” says Sucato. In some houses in Vittoria (Ragusa) the violence of the earthquake caused furnishings to fall into the houses. But reports also come from Agrigento, Syracuse and Catania.
