Poor – An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 6.7 rocked Malang. The aftershocks were felt for 30 seconds after the first earthquake.
“The earthquake was felt in the first 5 seconds, and the aftershocks were felt for about 30 seconds,” said the Malang City Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) via its Twitter account, Saturday (10/4/2021).
This earthquake occurred at 14.00.15 WIB. The earthquake was felt throughout East Java.
“Currently we are still communicating with the team regarding the situation and conditions in 14 cities in the East Java II area. That is our current report,” said BPBD Malang City.
This earthquake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the sea, 90 km southwest of Malang Regency. Earthquake center at a depth of 25 km.
It is not yet known whether there is an impact from this earthquake. Likewise with casualties.
