A year and a half ago, Clever Business Transilvania Group, which also includes Prima Tv, launched a new project on the media market. Project in which 8 televisions joined, both news and thematic.

“Our desire is to strengthen the group and develop our own package of diversified media content. Clever Group is a top player on the national market and our desire is to offer our viewers varied and interesting content”, said Adrian Tomșa, main shareholder of the Clever group of companies, at the time of launch.
The historical context, but also the logistical shortages caused the abandonment of four channels
However, according to the latest information, four of these TV stations will have their license withdrawn by CNA, according to cancan.ro. These are Prima Show, Prima Shop 24, Prima Wild and Prima Traditional. Clever Business Transilvania explains that the withdrawal of licenses by CNA comes in the wake of the group’s decision to drop these big projects. This was the explanation offered by Clever representatives during a public meeting of the CNA.
Another explanation for the suspension of projects comes from the major events of recent years. Lack of equipment and content equally hindered the development and launch of the 4 stations.
“When these licenses were requested and obtained, no one took into account what happened in recent years, the major events. And there were very big problems in getting equipment and even content. We prioritized them as we thought. We have already launched Prima News and Prima Comedy, these two will follow and probably the other in the future”, explained the representative of Clever, Alina Loghin.
The launch of two new channels is being prepared
At the same time, the Clever group requested the extension of the entry deadlines for Prima History and Prima Food&Travel. Thus, the company’s representatives have 6 months to launch the two TV projects.

“The two channels, Prima History and Prima Food&Travel are in a straight line, but we still need a little time to launch them. We are considering the others for the future, but we need more time to be able to procure equipment and content”, added Alina Loghin.
