Ethe romance between el Tottenham y Antonio Conte has come to an end. The Spurs and the Italian coach reached an agreement to separate their paths after the elimination by UEFA Champions League before him Milan in the Round of 16 and stay 20 points behind the leader of the Premier League, the Arsenal.
Conte, former Inter coach, ended up at the club from the north of London in November 2021. His place will be taken by Cristian Stellini and will be accompanied by Ryan Mason as an assistant until the end of the season.

“We can announce that manager Antonio Conte has left the club by mutual consent. We qualified for the UEFA Champions League in Antonio’s first season at the clubWe appreciate your contribution and wish you the best for the future. Cristian Stellini will take over as interim manager for the remainder of the season, along with Ryan Mason as your helper”reads the official statement of the Spurs.
“We have 10 Premier League games to go and we have a fight for a place in the Champions League. We need to come together. We all need to step up to ensure the best possible result for our club and incredible, loyal supporters.” said Daniel Levy, president of the club.

This season, Conte and the Spurs board of directors had several disagreements over the composition of their squad, something that became clear after the 3-3 draw against him. Southampton, when the Italian harshly criticized Levy.
“The story of Tottenham is this. The owner has been here for twenty years and they haven’t won anything. Why?” Conte broke out after that game, which left him in fourth position with 49 points, 20 units behind the Gunners.
