An earthquake in “Democratic Bulgaria” echoed on social networks after the double candidate in the lists Antoaneta Tsoneva chose to be an MP from Pazardzhik and not from Sofia.

With great regret and a clear awareness of the consequences, I am separating myself from “Democratic Bulgaria” and withdrawing my trust from one of the few party organizations to which I placed hopes until 9 months ago and from which I expected to be the bearer of a new way of thinking and acting. Todev wrote on Facebook.
The wick was lit by the municipal councilor from Plovdiv Dobromira Kostova from “Green Movement”. Her tweet revealed that an email had leaked from “Yes, Bulgaria” to their National Council with an order for Tsoneva to enter from Pazardzhik and “block the green candidate.” The DB denied any orders in the email. With it, they only asked the council where they would prefer Tsoneva to enter – they conducted online voting. However, the “green” Kostova is adamant that the address in question does not allow for an informed choice.
Some saw the drama in the fact that the Greens announced how they would support an unconditional cabinet. And if they had 3 deputies, this makes a majority together with the PP, ITN and BSP. Which would seriously weaken the positions of the other two forces in the coalition – “Yes, Bulgaria” and DSB, in the negotiations for posts.
“It has nothing to do with this,” Kostova told 24 Chasa. According to her, the issue is entirely fundamental, because Todev has more preferences than Tsoneva. The fact that we have differences in specific cases does not mean turning our backs on 3 years of joint work and common causes, Kostova said.
