Earthquake hits southern Georgia

An earthquake hit Georgia. Tremors with a magnitude of 3.1 were recorded in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region in the south of the country.

Tremors were recorded at 21:09 Tbilisi time near the village of Sameba, 24 kilometers east of the city of Ninotsminda.

The earthquake hypocenter was located at a depth of nine kilometers. No damage was reported.
