Istanbul: Another earthquake in Turkey-Syria border region. An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale occurred on Monday night. Aftershocks are re-hitting the region, which has not recovered from the heavy damage caused by the February 6 earthquake.
The earthquake was felt in Turkey’s Hatay province. The Turkish channel reported that buildings were damaged and no other damage was known.
41,000 people lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake that devastated Turkey and Syria. Tens of thousands were injured. Lakhs of people lost their homes. People in 11 provinces of Turkey were affected by the earthquake.
