An unknown highly developed technological civilization is hiding here, deep in the bowels of the Earth? Is this possible? Could it be that all the UFOs we observe are actually flying out from under our noses? Are there aliens around who can reincarnate and look just like us?
In a publication that is sure to raise a disdainful eyebrow in the scientific community, a team of researchers from Harvard and the Montana Tech University put forward an outrageous hypothesis. Its authors believe that what has been observed as an “unidentified anomalous phenomenon” (UAP) are not just flying saucers. This “may reflect the activities of intelligent beings hidden unseen here on Earth (e.g. underground) and/or its immediate surroundings (e.g. the Moon), and/or even ‘walking among us’ (e.g. looking like humans) .”
The researchers admit that this idea of hidden “crypto-terrestrials” is an extremely exotic hypothesis that “is likely to be viewed with skepticism by most scientists.” However, they argue that the theory “deserves genuine consideration in a spirit of humility and openness.”
In the past decade, unexplained reports of UAP (the modern bureaucratic name for UFOs) sightings by the military have become more frequent. And last summer, the former Air Force intelligence officer
David Grush, in a statement to Congress, said the US had already discovered alien spacecraft as part of a decades-long secret Pentagon program.
Even NASA is becoming more receptive to new research into the incredible facts and is assisting various institutions investigating mysterious, high-speed objects that have been sighted by military pilots over the years.
But after several Pentagon reports, we still haven’t found any evidence of extraterrestrial life. However, this has not dissuaded Harvard scientists, and in their publication they propose a set of possibilities, one more strange than the other.
One of their versions is that a “remnant form” of an ancient, highly developed human civilization is still hanging around watching us. Another – that an intelligent species has evolved independently of the general evolution of humanity, possibly from “intelligent dinosaurs”, and is now hiding its presence from us. Third – that these hidden inhabitants of the Earth came here from another planet or another time. Fourth – that these unknown inhabitants of the Earth are “less technological than magical”, researchers liken them to “earth angels”.
UFO sightings – of “aircraft and other phenomena (eg ‘orbs’) that appear to enter/exit potential subterranean access points such as volcanoes” may be evidence that these cryptoterrestrials may not be attracted to these locations , but actually live in underground or underwater bases.
The publication quoted former House of Representatives member Mike Gallagher, who suggested last year that one explanation for UFO sightings could be “an ancient civilization that’s just been hiding here all this time and is suddenly showing up right now,” following Grush’s testimony.
Researchers don’t stop there, even suggesting that these crypto-terrestrials can take various forms of non-human primates or even reptilians.
In addition to living deep in the Earth, representatives of this mysterious species can also hide on the Moon.
Or that they have mastered the art of transforming into humans and being indistinguishable – a folk mythology that has inspired countless works of science fiction.
Another explanation, put forward by the controversial Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, suggests that some ancient civilizations may have lived on planets like Mars or Earth, but in different time periods and therefore unaware of each other.
Of course, these are all far-fetched hypotheses, scientists admit, and deserve to be viewed with much skepticism. But they explain why it’s worth continuing to try to look for explanations: “…because some aspects of the UAP are strange enough that they seem to require unconventional explanations.”
