This tool uses Geographic Information Systems technology to detect and monitor heat points, thus providing an early warning for prevention and timely response to recorded anomalies.
The official presentation was carried out by personnel from the National Forest Institute (INAB).
Some key features:
• Early detection: Uses advanced algorithms to detect hot spots, enabling rapid response to prevent the spread of wildfires.
• Continuous monitoring: Through satellite images, the platform constantly monitors, providing almost real-time surveillance.
• Notices: Generation of automatic text messages to INAP officials.
• Strengthen the knowledge and governance of risk by public and private institutions that are part of the Conred System.

“Forest fires represent a growing threat to society, health, and the economy. Given this situation, it is necessary to develop instruments that allow us to evaluate the current state of the territory in real time to better manage the fire,” said the executive secretary. de la Conred, Claudinne Ogaldes.
The platform is promoted by INAB in support of the National Council of Protected Areas (Conap), the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh) and Conred.
