TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The peak of the Quadrantid meteor shower will be the first astronomical phenomenon in 2022, Tuesday (4/1/2022) early in the morning.
The National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) revealed that the Quadrantid meteor shower can be seen from the Northeast at 04.00 WIB to 25 minutes before sunrise.
Quoted from the page EIGHT, the meteor shower comes from the dust remnants of asteroid 2003 EH1 and comet C/1490 Y1.
LAPAN said, at this point, the Quadrantid meteor shower fell with an intensity of 200 meteors per hour.

However, because the height of this meteor shower is different from Sabang to Rote Island, the intensity can also be different.
Reported by the Center for Space Science (Pussainsa) EIGHT, the peak intensity of the Quadrantid meteor shower ranges from:
Sabang (35.8 degrees): 117 meteors/hour.
Rote Island (16.3 degrees): 56 meteors/hour.
LAPAN said that without the light of the Moon, this phenomenon can be enjoyed without assistance.
The Quadrantid meteor shower can be seen when the sky is clear and free of light pollution, and the terrain is clear of obstructions.
