Starfield went gold earlier this week, and Bethesda Game Studios solemnly announced a preload date for their latest title. And now, with a little less than two full weeks left before release, reviewers have started getting copies of the game. Reviews are due August 31st, but some reviewers have already shared their first impressions of Starfield with the public.
One of the biggest fears for everyone was that such a big and important game would be released with a lot of bugs, because Bethesda’s track record in this regard is very questionable. Luckily, recent posts about the game claim that Starfield is Bethesda’s most polished game yet. It all started with messages on Discord, in which popular YouTuber Tyler McVicker, who gained access to try out Starfield, claims that in more than 15 hours of playing, he was amazed at how well everything works and that no errors were found during the gameplay. Of other aspects of the game, the reviewer noted the excellent visual design of Starfield.
Traditionally, the Creation Engine is not known for its high level of visual fidelity, with Tyler McVicker saying that Starfield looks incredible, and this aspect of the game was a pleasant surprise for him. Before the release of Starfield, the entire industry was preoccupied with bugs. This aspect of the game was also touched upon in an interview with Matt Booty, in which he claimed that the game would be the studio’s least buggy release. Tyler McVicker’s first impressions were confirmed by Matt Booty’s words. The reviewer has already spent many hours playing the game, and the bugs have not appeared.
As Tayler talks about how good Starfield is, another writer apologizes for attacking Starfield and the game’s 30fps earlier. Most likely, he says that the game looks great, works and plays great. This feature of the game caused a lot of controversy at the time of its announcement, as Bethesda decided to set Starfield to 30 fps on consoles in order to preserve the visual beauty of the game. Many people did not like this decision, because they are used to playing at a frame rate of 60 fps. However, it seems that 30 fps is not a problem for Starfield at all.
The first and only complaint about Starfield only mentions a simple menu, which makes no sense given that Bethesda uses familiar menus in all of its games. Other games from this studio, such as Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, have a clean and simple interface, where the main thing is the options offered by the menu according to the user’s needs. However, we can say that Starfield offers a really polished start menu compared to other Bethesda games, which is good news. Apparently, the only complaint from those who already play Starfield is that they can’t stop playing, which is good news.
Many people remember that Bethesda is not shy about releasing games with bugs, but it seems that the collaboration between the technical studios Xbox and Bethesda allowed Starfield to be polished to perfection so that everyone can enjoy the best space RPG from the first day of the game.
Developed by Bethesda, the developer of hit games like The Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Fallout 4 – games that have grown in number over the years because Bethesda offers so many options for players – is just over a couple of weeks away from the release of a new game from Bethesda. Starfield launches September 5 on Xbox X Series X|S and PC, and will be available from day one through Xbox Game Pass.
