Feyenoord has booked the second practice win of this preparation in Austria. Arne Slot’s team won with the smallest difference from FC Zurich: Luis Sinisterra made the first and only goal early in a match with two missed penalties.
Slot replaced three basic players in the game that they won against AEK Athens. Goalkeeper Justin Bijlow was replaced by Ofir Marciano and in midfield Franco Antonucci and European Championship-goer Orkun Kökcü were new, at the expense of Mark Diemers and Guus Til. Marciano was given the opportunity to distinguish himself early in the match: Antonio Marchesano was allowed – after hands by Marcos Senesi – to score a penalty on behalf of FC Zurich, but his effort was turned by the Israeli Feyenoord goalkeeper.
Just in time to see Ofir Marciano in action!

At that moment Feyenoord was already leading 1-0. After just three minutes, Sinisterra managed to pass Zurich goalkeeper Yanick Brecher. In the remainder of the first half, however, not much happened and also in the second half – Feyenoord had sent ten new field players into the field after the break – the opportunities were scarce. Ten minutes before the end Feyenoord got the chance to decide the match definitively. After a foul on João Teixeira, Feyenoord was also allowed to take a penalty: Róbert Bozeník, however, encountered Brecher.
Feyenoord can now slowly but surely move on to the real thing. Practice against Werder Bremen will take place on 17 July, after which the qualification rounds for the Conference League will start: the Kosovar FC Drita or the Montenegrin FK Decic will be the opponent on 22 and 29 July.
