Early evening of the Museum of Fine Arts in music

Acoustic set last Thursday by the duo Anahata in the courtyard of Vergès on the occasion of the raising of the curtain on the cultural season of the Museum of Fine Arts.

Last Thursday evening, the first night of the Agen museum was able to welcome the Anahata duo, after several postponements due to the heat wave this summer.

Anahata already has her little notoriety in Agen. Ben and Mylène, a couple both in life and on stage, launched their music project in 2019. The same year they opened for Jenifer at the Fêtes d’Agen. After the silence imposed by Covid, in 2022 they chained around thirty concerts and are thinking about a wider distribution of their songs. Their work with the Voix du Sud association, led by Francis Cabrel, paid off and allowed them to clarify and better define their universe.

Discovering Alfred Sisley

On Thursday they performed in the courtyard of Vergès for an acoustic set, he on guitar, she on vocals. Between covers and original compositions, they took their audience on a small journey into an intimate and comforting bubble.

The evening was also an opportunity for the museum’s mediator and guide, Nathalie Lacroix, to take stock of the upcoming cultural season. This Thursday, October 13, the protagonist will be the impressionist painter Alfred Sisley, with his painting “Matinée de Septembre”.

With Nathalie Lacroix, you will learn more about this painting, in the form of a mini-lecture starting at 12:45 pm.

Guided tour of the museum at the start of the holiday

Another highlight to plan for the start of the All Saints’ Day celebrations: a guided tour of the museum at 3:30 pm on October 23rd. New surprises await you, because the museum has in particular the deposits of the Louvre.

Reservations on 05 53 69 47 23. Provided a minimum of three people, the visit and the conference will be canceled in case of insufficient reservations.

Children will also be entitled to their entertainment. On Monday, October 24, the Corridors of Time course will take them through the labyrinth, with a somewhat special guide: Nostradamus! Equipped with passports, they will have to complete challenges to find their way through the four hotels in the building.
