TEMANGGUNG – Temanggung Regency Health Service (Dinkes) is intensively implementing Active Case Finding (ACF) for tuberculosis.
As was done by the Parakan Community Health Center, which held ACF Tuberculosis by inviting more than 100 suspected people, who had close contact with patients with tuberculosis (TB).
They then underwent TB screening with Portable X-Ray, at the Parakan Kawedanan Hall on Thursday (19/9/2024).
The Head of the Temanggung Health Office Disease Prevention and Control Department, Bachelor, explained that the ACF TB operation was a program launched by the Ministry of Health, with the acquisition of portable x-Ray equipment at the Central Java Regional Health Service .
ACF activities were carried out in collaboration with Surakarta Health Polytechnic, one of the organizations that received a share of portable x-Ray equipment from the Ministry of Health.
The pupil revealed that TB screening was done because the rate of tuberculosis was very high.
“We do that, because TB is a global health problem right now, even around the world and even in Indonesia. “Since Temanggung, we have not yet reached the target,” he explained.
He said that based on the Department of Health data from August 2024, there were approximately 1,357 TB cases with a screening performance of 586 cases. To detect latent TB (without obvious symptoms) early, this screening is done intensively.
“Hopefully we’ll find issues that have been hidden until now,” Bachelor said.
Parakan Health Center TB Programmer Nurcholis said that ACF activities in Temanggung were done at three points.
“With X-Ray or radiation examination, Temanggung will get three points, which are Kedu, Selopampang, then Parakan. “The hope is to detect TB or latent TB without obvious symptoms as soon as possible, thereby reducing and preventing the death rate,” he said.
In approaching the community, the Parakan Community Health Center is implementing the innovation of the Jumantuk Cadre (Cough Monitoring Officer).
“The form is (similar) information, because people are bored with this type of advice,” he continued.
A Parakan resident, MS (34) said he was invited by the Parakan Health Centre. Because of that, there is a family member who is positive for TB.
“This is to participate in the trial, a family of three has been invited,” he said.
