Early Detection of Coronary Heart Symptoms

SCENTED WATER RADAR – Coronary heart disease is one of the highest causes of death in the world. The main triggers are usually lifestyle, smoking, stress, and unhealthy eating patterns.

In addition, other medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol can also be a cause of coronary heart disease. This condition occurs due to narrowing or blockage in the coronary arteries due to deposits of fat and cholesterol, which results in disrupted blood supply to the heart. Patients with coronary heart disease have the potential to experience sudden cardiac arrest or what is commonly known as sudden cardiac death.

According to the cardiologist Dr. Nelly Mulyaningsih Sp.JP (K), chest pain occurs due to a blockage in blood flow to the heart, causing the heart to not get enough blood or oxygen supply. The intensity of chest pain varies from person to person, some people may have intense chest pain, while others only feel chest discomfort. There are also those who feel their chest is pressed against a heavy object and there are also those who feel pain like being stabbed and burned.

He explained, if there is narrowing or blockage, medical action is generally taken by examining the catheterization and placing a ring (stent). This is to keep the coronary arteries from being blocked or narrowed.

Director of Blambangan Hospital, dr. Widji Lestariono, M.MKes explained, Banyuwangi residents benefited because after being assessed that the Blambangan Hospital met the requirements, the Indonesian Ministry of Health appointed it as a national referral network hospital for cases of heart disease.

Blambangan Hospital is capable of installing 25-30 heart rings per month. ”God willing, this year a Blambangan Cardiac Center (BCC) will be built as a heart disease service center at Blambangan Hospital,” he concluded. (*/bay)
