The new Dpcm has been postponed to Sunday due to requests from Regions and the divisions that also exist within the government. The meeting between the prime minister and the majority heads of delegation went on for hours to resolve the tug-of-war over the new restrictions necessary to bring Italy’s epidemiological situation under control. According to the sources ofAdnkronos, the “Strong recommendation” to limit unnecessary travel will remain within the Dpcm: the ban will therefore not take effect to move between the Regions, as had been assumed on the evening of Saturday 24 October.
Nothing to do instead for the restaurant activities, with the governors who had asked to postpone the closing from 18 to 23 and not to close on Sundays: even the CTS said it was in favor of the Regions’ proposal, fearing that the early lockout will favor dinners at home, ending up creating only economic damage to entrepreneurs and workers.
