EDUCATION. Cégep Beauce-Appalaches has made some changes to its Early Childhood Education Techniques program, which improves the learning offered to students with the Workplace Learning (AMT) formula.
Students enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to evolve, in a concrete and progressive way, in a real context and to benefit from the expertise of professionals in childhood through numerous visits, observation sessions, practical work and more, says Cégep Beauce-Appalaches in a press release.
Students complete two internships in educational daycare during the three years of study. Students can also bond with future employers, refine their practice with children, and be supported by experienced educators. Thanks to this experience, students have the opportunity to make paid replacements during training during school holidays and work-study work-study during the summer period.
“Learning in the workplace makes it possible to better meet the needs of the labor market thanks to training enhanced by even more concrete learning for students. We have observed that the formula promotes academic success in addition to improving the perseverance and the graduation rate of students, ”explains the assistant director of studies, programs and pedagogy, Simon-Éric Bélanger.
