Early Adopters Hit with Huge Discounts as Apple Vision Pro VR Headset Sells for as Low as $2,600 on eBay

Apple Vision Pro VR Headset Sell for Deep Discounts on eBay

Early adopters of the Apple Vision Pro VR headset are feeling the sting of buyer’s remorse after realizing they could’ve saved a significant amount of money on the pricey device. The high-end headset, which I personally purchased for $3,900, is currently being sold for much lower prices on eBay, with additional accessories included.

Deep Discounts on eBay

Several listings on eBay are offering the Apple Vision Pro VR headset at significantly lower prices compared to the official Apple website. A recent auction for a 1TB Vision Pro, complete with all accessories, sold for $3,200 after 21 bids. The original price for this combination on Apple’s site is $5,007.03.

Another eBay listing, matching the configuration of my headset, went for just $2,600, which is a considerable difference. Other models with various storage capacities, including 256GB and 512GB, are being sold for around the same price range.

Early Adopter Woes

This kind of price drop is a common phenomenon for early adopters of expensive tech gadgets. Apple’s initial pricing, combined with the availability of alternative VR headsets like the Meta Quest 3 at a much lower price point of $500, has left early Vision Pro adopters feeling frustrated.

It’s particularly disheartening to see the deep discounts on eBay, especially for the highest storage configuration, which I had to pay a premium for. Compared to the cost of the full package on Apple’s website, these deals on eBay are a steal.

If I had realized these prices earlier, I would have returned my Apple Vision Pro to the company without hesitation. The missed opportunity to save several hundred dollars and still get all the included accessories, like the storage case, is truly regrettable.

For now, all I can do is wear my Apple Vision Pro headset and mask my disappointment. The tears of regret are hidden beneath the cutting-edge technology, and the excessive pricing no one else can see.

It’s a lesson for all early adopters in the fast-paced world of technology: making purchasing decisions before the market stabilizes can lead to financial regret in the face of attractive deals. Hopefully, these insights will help others make more informed decisions in the future.
