In the publication notes of the patch #1 version Early Access di Baldur’s Gate 3 for PC, Larian Studios confirmed that prior to the arrival of the final game i bailouts of the players will be deleted. For this reason, the study said, the real heroes are those who are taking this test while knowing it will lead nowhere.
Inside the nice travel diary that the Belgian studio decided to keep to accompany the development of Baldur’s Gate III, some rather interesting things emerged. First of all, the first patch of the game was published on the PC, an update that attacks the first bugs and the first problems that have emerged in these days of testing. The patch is already available on both Steam and GOG, while the Mac e Stadia they will have to wait a few more hours.
With the first update Larian has fixed problems that emerge during some cinematics, the crashes that occur leaving some objects from the inventory on the ground and fixed some problems in the lip synch or in the translations of the game. The complete list can be found at the end of the community update 9 published by Larian, which you can find at this address.
Another interesting piece of information is the map showing all player deaths. A tool that is used by developers to understand how and why someone breaks at a certain point (whether for a bug or for the story, for example) and which in this case shows how the deaths are mainly concentrated north of the crash site. Analyzing the data, Larian found that Gale he died 333,757 times (plus one if you counted an event called “the cake accident”): an incidence 4 times higher than that recorded by all the other members of the party. Will it be a coincidence?
Finally, the team has indirectly confirmed that the saves will be canceled before the release of the final version of the game. We already knew and confirmed it today. You are therefore warned. Don’t complain. They did it with this message:
“The real heroes of this Early Access period are the community members who stayed with us while we were working on patches and hotfixes. We know that playing a product in Early Access, knowing that the saves will come eventually deleted, it’s a great demand. For this we are enormously grateful to everyone who downloaded Baldur’s Gate 3, gave us feedback and sent bug reports..”
For this reason, play quietly and make all the choices you want, what you do in Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access stays in Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access. registers by Larian, but that’s another story.
