Saquon Barkley became the game winner. The running back scored two touchdowns within 20 seconds in the final period. After Barkley ran 23 yards into the end zone with five minutes left in the game, the ball carrier scored a 39-yard field goal for the decisive lead at 26:10. The Eagles defense intercepted Chiefs quarterback Jayden Daniels while attempting to pass.
Daniels’ opposite number, Jalen Hurts, had a better game; the Eagles quarterback ran into the end zone for a 12:10 lead midway through the fourth quarter. Hurts was substituted briefly in the second period after going down and being checked for concussion symptoms.
