‘Eagles’ star Don Henley: ‘Hotel California’ singer buys son sustainable home worth millions

With a house like this, some would certainly like to live more sustainably. Music legend Don Henley (75) has long been committed to the environment. His activism is also reflected in the property he bought for his son. Because he mainly focused on sustainability. The ‘Hotel California’ singer has snapped up a property in Mar Vista, Los Angeles for his son Will (24) for the equivalent of 4 million euros. According to “Dirt,” the home was built in the 1950s and has now been completely redesigned by architect Thane Roberts.

In order for the house to be particularly green, solar panels have been integrated, which can then generate their own electricity. Furthermore, the large windows provide plenty of daylight. And of course there’s a dedicated charging station for electric cars. And despite the innovative ideas and its sustainability, the mansion is in no way inferior to the luxurious houses of the stars.

Ellen Degeneres: The new owners of her house have actual neighbors

This multimillion-dollar mansion isn’t nearly as sustainable. Because the former home of Ellen DeGeneres (64) was more about lavish impression than sustainability. In September, the presenter and her wife sold their property in Montecito, California, for a whopping 36 million euros. The buyer appropriated a house inspired by the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain called “Villa Tragara”. Not only should the house look like a palace, the neighbors are real too. Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) live next door at Ellen’s former residence.
