Box Office Report: Ravi Teja Starrer “Eagle” Falls Short of Expectations

Ravi Teja returns with “Eagle” after three months

After a three-month hiatus, renowned Telugu actor Ravi Teja is back on the big screen with his much-anticipated project, “Eagle.” The film, directed by Karthik Gattamneni, initially faced a delay in its release due to a crowded schedule of other film releases during the Sankranti festive season.

Mixed to decent reception

On the day of its release, “Eagle” received a reception that can be best described as mixed to decent. While critics presented varying reviews, the audience feedback has been lukewarm. Unfortunately, this tepid response may have contributed to the underwhelming overall box office performance of the film.

Disappointing box office earnings

Despite being backed by Ravi Teja’s star power, “Eagle” failed to live up to the expectations in terms of box office earnings. The film’s day one collections fell short of anticipated levels. As per initial reports, “Eagle” managed to amass 6.15 crores at the Indian box office, notably lower than the collections of Ravi Teja’s previous outing, “Tiger Nageswara Rao.”

Comparing “Eagle” with “Tiger Nageswara Rao”

To provide context, “Tiger Nageswara Rao” raked in 6.60 crores on its opening day. This debut collection was especially significant as it was achieved despite facing competition from Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Bhagavanth Kesari”. In comparison, “Eagle” failed to meet its predecessor’s impressive performance.

Limited growth during the day

Despite a promising start with morning screenings, “Eagle” experienced minimal growth during the afternoon and evening shows. This decline in momentum further impacted its box office performance.
