But of course it only works offline.

A problem with Elden Ring is that you can not pause the game when the cat overturns flower pots or the pizza supplier knocks. However, one user has done kind of thing and released a mod which is simply called “Pause the game”. However, a little hand-laying is required to make it work, and as usual you should be careful about installing modar in games that can be played online.
In order for it to work, you have to deactivate the game’s anti-cheating system, which also means that you can only play offline. However, the mod creator assures that it is completely safe, as the mode simply does not charge if it senses that the anti-cheating system is still activated. To be able to restore the anti-cheating system, it is of course good to back up the files you change, or you can simply let Steam repair the game installation.
Unfortunately, the mode does not seem to work if you run a reshade at the same time, and when you pause the game, it is fast-forwarded a bit – you should therefore make sure that you do not pause when you are being attacked. In any case, it seems to be a good courage for us who frequently have to run from the computer to see what it was that sounded.
