A number of Padang restaurant has a two-letter code written on its window glass or nameplate. It turns out that the code has a meaning.
Not only do they have unique names in the Minang language, Padang restaurants also use special codes. This code is used to distinguish the types of restaurants from each other.
The restaurant called RM Simple, the most popular, uses these codes as the attachment of the restaurant owner to the early pioneers of RM Sederhana. Even though it is often discussed, many still do not understand these codes.
The code used is also a marker for typical Padang food recipes served at the related restaurant. In order not to be mistaken, pay attention to the following explanation.

Quoting the Twitter account @txtdrkuliner (28/2) there are three types of codes used in Padang cuisine restaurant. The code is divided into SB, SC and SA which characterize the type of prescription and its ownership.
Here are the differences between the three codes:
1. SB
The SB code for a Padang restaurant indicates that the restaurant is managed as a franchise business. But even though the ownership is outside the pioneering family of Simple RM, this restaurant still uses the same recipe.
So the taste of the food served is not much different from other Padang restaurant branches. Starting from the ingredients to the dosage of the spices, they are prepared as closely as possible like the original Simple RM.
2. SC
Unlike the SB code, a Padang restaurant that uses the SC code indicates that the restaurant is not managed or involves the owner and pioneer of Simple RM. There is no interference between the original owner of RM Simple and the SC marked restaurant.
Both from the management point of view to the food recipes that are used are much different and not the same as other branches of Simple RM.
3. SA
If you claim to be a lover of Padang cuisine, choose a Simple RM restaurant with an SA sign. The SA sign characterizes Padang restaurant which is managed directly by the owner’s family and the pioneer of Simple RM.
All food served using pure recipes. Managerial run at the restaurant is also managed by the original owner’s family.
