For over a year now, a small team within BioWare of about 30 specialists has been working on a massive re-imagining of the failed online action game in an attempt to rework fundamentally flawed aspects like the loot system, equipment, mission structure, perks and the like.

According to journalists, the implementation of Anthem 2.0 will require a team of about three times the current one – about 100 people. Now EA has to assess the risks and either give the project a chance, or finally close it.
