EA tightens Star Wars: Squadrons system requirements

Players will need a more efficient processor and more disk space

A few weeks ago we published system requirements for the PC version of the Star Wars Squadrons space battle simulator from EA and Motive Studios. It turns out that they were not final, as the authors made changes.

Previously, Star Wars: Squadron required at least the Intel i5-7600 and it was changed to i5-6600k. And in the recommended Ryzen 3 3200G, they copied to the Ryzen 7 2700X. Disk space will need 10 GB more than originally claimed, i.e. 40 GB.

Minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 1300X / Intel Intel i5 6600k or better
  • Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7850 / Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or better
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Disk space: 40 GB
  • Other: DirectX 11
  • Internet connection: 512 Kbps

Recommended system requirements (minimum for VR):

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X / Intel i7-7700 or better
  • Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 480 / Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or better
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Disk space: 40 GB
  • Other: DirectX 11
  • Internet connection: 512 Kbps

Recommended VR system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X / Intel I7-7700 or higher
  • Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 570 / Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or better
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Disk space: 40 GB
  • Other: DirectX 11
  • Internet connection: 512 Kbps

Star Wars: Squadron is released October 2, 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
