Cologne, November 3rd, 2023 – Electronic Arts today celebrates the launch of EA SPORTS WRC, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, for PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via EA App, Epic Store and Steam. Featuring 50 crews from the WRC, the leading support categories WRC2 and FIA Junior WRC, as well as locations from the 2023 FIA World Rally Championship, EA SPORTS WRC offers unparalleled realism, longer stages and a new Dynamic Handling System that pushes players to the limits of control .

The power of the official WRC license: Combining the expertise of the DiRT Rally studio with the official WRC license, EA SPORTS WRC increases realism with 50 accurately recreated crews from WRC, WRC2 and the FIA Junior WRC. The authenticity also extends to the locations: each rally in the FIA World Rally Championship 2023 has different weather, season and time of day options. The move to Unreal Engine has allowed the studio to create longer, more detailed and accurate stages with over 600km of asphalt, gravel and snow in the game.
New Dynamic Handling System and Pace Notes: Thanks to the new Dynamic Handling System, players experience extremely authentic handling. Building on the DiRT Rally model and incorporating feedback from real-world drivers, Dynamic Handling gives more control to tackle breathtaking jumps, tight hairpins, changing weather conditions and surface textures. Newcomers can adjust the settings to hone their skills before setting off on one of the 13* official FIA World Rally Championship and five real-world inspired tracks. In addition to the driving innovations, new speed notes, including simplified commands for new players, add realism and enhance the rally experience for both seasoned veterans and those taking on the challenge for the first time.
Connect with friends and experience historical moments: Rally fans will feel even more connected thanks to cross-platform competitions. Up to 32 players can compete in private lobbies with friends or against the global EA SPORTS WRC community on the platform of their choice. In addition, the clubs return via EA Racenet and provide more variety in the competition. Moments, updated daily, allow you to play out scenarios from WRC history and recreate the challenges WRC teams face at each event.
Build your dream car: Players who want a rally car that suits their driving style and visual taste can put together their dream car in Builder: Starting on the assembly line, fans select the body, mechanical parts and interior design. Once completed, they can customize the vehicle using the livery editor before testing it and competing against one of the 78 available vehicles spanning over 60 years of sporting history.
