EA SPORTS releases the HUT deep dive on NHL 25 and provides further insights into the new features

Köln, 25. September 2024 – EA SPORTS is releasing the next deep dive for NHL 25 today. The deep dive focuses on all the new features and updates to Chel’s Hockey Ultimate Team. Among other things, NHL 25 HUT offers a new wildcard mode, a revised progression system, a new reward structure and revised card tiering.

HUT-Wildcard-Modus
NHL 25 features a new HUT Wildcard Mode that allows fans to compete and earn various rewards through a special XP progression path. HUT Wildcard Mode features challenges that are updated regularly, requiring fans to adapt their strategies to unlock instant rewards such as packs, XP, coins or cosmetic items. The mode can be played both online and offline.

Revised progression system and new reward structure

In NHL 25, handling in-game rewards is simplified by a unified XP progression path. All experience points are transferred to an XP progression path regardless of which HUT mode the players choose. All three main HUT modes, Squad Battles, Rivals and Wildcard, are thus united by a unified XP path.

Revised card tiering, X-Factor series and more
NHL 25 has overhauled the card tiering system and player ratings to better represent each league.

The new card tiering system at a glance:

  • Bronze – 74 OVR and below
  • Silber 75-79 OVRÂ
  • Gold 80+ OVR

Additionally, X-Factors are returning to NHL 25 to help players reduce their AP costs with limited-edition cards. Stay tuned for more details, including new, improved X-Factor cards released each live service season.
