EA Sports PGA Tour is only a few weeks away from launching on PC and consoles after recently launching a short delay that prompted it to debut at Masters weekend. But with its upcoming release, EA has now taken another look at the game with this new trailer and blog post centered around Career Mode and how players will put their name in golf history.
The blog post confirms that players will be able to largely customize their character before starting wherever they are on the PGA Tour calendar, or move through the amateur ranks instead. It also shows that just like real golf, players need to show they should compete in the best tournaments by making the cut and earning spots in the events, in addition to being able to use an AI Pairings feature to play alongside to step onto the course with an AI golfer.
We also get a slightly deeper dive into the RPG progression and shot type system, which allows players to tackle more challenging courses after they’ve leveled up enough, and even a brief explanation of the various attributes you can improve to make your golfer to improve.
But you can here read more about it or see it in action in the Career Mode trailer below.
