EA Sports confirms the license of this new competition

EA Sports has already announced the main novelties of Career Mode in FIFA 22, both for the manager games like the player ones. But in addition to this, it has recently also confirmed that the new installment of the franchise will feature licensed by the UEFA Europa Conference League.

This tournament was born in the 2021-22 season and its qualifying rounds are already being played. It is the third competition for European football clubs, after Champions League and Europa League. It will be played on Thursdays and will be played for at least three seasons.

What content could we see in FIFA 22?

In addition to your logo and all the usual decorative elements, we hope the Career Mode rankings will adjust to the changes that have already happened in real life with the arrival of the Conference League. For example, we would play this competition if we created a game as a coach, we controlled a Santander League team and were seventh (this is what would have happened with Villarreal in reality, but they will not play it because they qualified for the Champions League thanks to their victory in the Europa League).

In Ultimate Team we could also see content related to this tournament. The logical thing is that in FIFA 22 we continue to see special versions such as RTTF, MOTM or Showdown. Surely the Champions League is the main protagonist of this type of items, in a second floor is the Europa League and the Conference League should be the least important.
