EA Play isn’t coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription until 2021 – Gaming – News

EA has delayed the integration of the EA Play game plan into Xbox Game Pass for PC to next year. Initially, the EA games should have become available today in the Microsoft subscription. EA has not yet announced a new date.

It Xbox Game Pass team says in a blog post need more time to provide ‘a good experience’ to PC players. The Xbox team does not provide details about the current problems. Early next year, the company says it will come up with more information.

Microsoft announced the integration of the Electronic Arts games in September. Console players with the Game Pass Ultimate subscription have been accessing the EA games since November 10. EA Play is a combination of the former EA Access and Origin Access and allows users to play certain games from the EA range. This mainly concerns slightly older games. New games can be played as trial sessions for ten hours. Game Pass allows users to regain access to Microsoft games. EA Play and Game Pass are not streaming services, so users must download a game before it can be played. Microsoft is working behind the scenes on console and PC game streaming via xCloud.

Game Pass for PC costs ten euros per month, EA Play costs five euros per month. Game Pass subscribers do not need an EA Play subscription to play the EA games. Note that a user’s EA Play subscription is also not automatically terminated when they take out a Game Pass for PC subscription. This will happen with the Game Pass Ultimate subscription for the Xbox consoles.
