EA Access and Origin Access Subscriptions Shared EA Play

Electronic Arts has rebranded its subscription service. Now EA Access and Origin Access will be known under the same name – EA Play. It used to be the name of the publisher’s annual event ahead of the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Starting August 18th, the services will be called EA Play. This change suggests Electronic Arts is considering its service as a large part of its future strategy. Notably, Origin Access Premier will be called EA Play Pro. The terms of the services do not change: subscribers will still get access to those projects that are included in the catalog, they will be able to try some games early and buy the publisher’s products with a 10% discount.

Electronic Arts also said it plans to add more content to EA Play in the coming months, starting with exclusive in-game challenges and monthly rewards for members in select games.

As for the annual EA Play event, it is now called EA Play Live. The brand alignment is an important step in optimizing Electronic Arts’ services, the company said.
