EA Access and Origin Access services change names to EA Play – News

After launching its EA Access and Origin Access services on Steam, Electronic Arts decided to change the name of the latter.

EA Access and Origin Access, the services offering players access to a whole catalog of Electronic Arts games, to take advantage of numerous discounts or to have access to preview titles, decide to unite and change name to provide players with more clarity and consistency. Henceforth, the two services are one and are called EA Play.

EA Play puts you at the center of the experience. Shifting all benefits to one brand is an important step in streamlining our services to ensure that being a member of EA Play is the best way to play.

Don’t worry … Although the services are changing their names, the rules remain the same. Despite this new name, therefore, EA Play still allows players to subscribe to obtain access to a catalog of games signed Electronic Arts, try productions even before their release and take advantage of discounts on full games and DLC. However, EA Play is adding a few new features for players starting with adding challenges and exclusive rewards to their games like Ultimate Team Packs for EA Sports games (Madden NFL 21, FIFA 21), or new cosmetics.

The question that we can ask ourselves with the arrival of the EA Play service is: what happens to the annual event of the same name? The annual conference to discover the future upcoming productions of the American publisher will continue, however, as we have already seen in recent months, this event will be called EA Play Live.
