CLOSED: E6 over Dovrefjell is closed due to bad weather. Vegtrafikksentralen East reports this on Twitter.

– Take it easy

Traffic operator in Vegtrafikksentralen midt, Anita Berglund, says that this morning there were a number of exits in Trøndelag due to slippery roads.

In the morning, however, the problem is no longer that it is slippery, but that there is a lot of water in the roadways.

– There has been more water and the ice has melted. I think people should take it easy, because this can lead to hydroplaning – it has rained a lot, says Berglund.

The traffic operator says that the same applies to Møre and Romsdal, where it is wise to keep a lower speed than what the speed limit dictates.

Chain collision in Sandefjord

Four cars are involved in a traffic accident on the E18 in Sandefjord. The Sør-Öst police district reports this on Twitter.

– Two cars need salvage, says operations manager Trond Egil Groth to VG.

Traffic operator in the Swedish Traffic Center, Kristin Våsjø, tells VG that the accident on the E18 in Sandefjord is probably not due to slippery roads, and adds that there is reduced accessibility in the southbound direction on the stretch.

– There were reports of slippery roads in Agder in the morning, but it seems to have improved now, says Våsjø at around 09.00.

She says that you always have to pay attention and drive according to the conditions, but that today does not seem to be any more challenging than what you can expect on a normal day in January.
