– We know it is a wide transport with a construction machine that collided with two other trucks, says operations manager Haagen Løvset in the Police in the Inland.
The accident site must be several hundred meters long because goods from the vehicles involved are scattered in the roadway.
The E6 is closed between Otta and Dombås.
Detour is national road 3. The road will be closed for large parts of the night, reports the road traffic center.
Large collision
The police were notified of the accident at Selsverket just after half past ten on Wednesday night.
One person was trapped, but was released. The others involved should not be physically injured, according to police.
Just after one o’clock on Thursday night, the police state that the driver of one of the trucks has died.
Both police, ambulance and ambulance helicopter are now working at the accident site. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s accident group and the police forensic technicians will also investigate the area, the police say.
– E6 will be closed overnight, says Løvset.
