E39 is opened after rock fall in Heim municipality

The emergency services received a report at 7.30pm that a car had driven into a rock slide on the E39 in Rodalen by the Vinjefjorden. The driver escaped the incident without serious injuries.

The road was closed when it was assessed that there was a further landslide hazard at the site.

At 22.15, the police in Trøndelag state that a geologist has assessed the road as safe and that the E39 will be opened to normal traffic as soon as the accident car has been removed from the scene.
