E3 back in 2023 – with a new organizer

After three years without E3 on the fair floor in Los Angeles, the fair is getting ready to return in 2023. This time it will be with new people at the helm, and as ESA announced Thursday is the production company ReedPop that takes over.

ReedPop will try to bring E3 to new heights.

ESA/ReedPop

Among other things, ReedPop is known for the many PAX fairs that are held every year. The company is also responsible for things like New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration, and now the gang will take the job of restoring E3’s former greatness.

– For years we have listened to, listened to and studied feedback from players around the world. E3 2023 will be as epic as you know it and a return to what has always worked, while we change what did not work and set a new list for gaming fairs in 2023 and for the future, said ReedPop’s head of Gaming, Kyle Marsden -Kish.

ESA – which has hosted E3 for all years – says that the gaming fair will be held in the second week of June next year, but did not yet have exact dates to come up with. The doors are reopened for publishers, developers, journalists and influencers, with various opportunities for gaming fans to participate as well.

Declining popularity

Even before covid-19 put an end to the festivities in Los Angeles, E3 was on its way down. Several of the gaming industry’s largest players have long since moved away from the exhibition floor, in favor of self-produced events and presentations.

Now ESA and ReedPop promise a week of giant gaming revelations for next year, and over the next few months we will hear which gaming companies will join this time.

Summer Game Fest – which has taken up the baton in E3’s absence – will also be there held in June 2023. Here we are poised to have some competition.
