Contraband arrives as a new cooperative proposal on Xbox
The past Microsoft + Bethesda E3 event left us with a lot of new and old acquaintances. Titles of the caliber of Stafield, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite were dropped with a release date, or at least a year. But what concerns us in this text is the new IP that Xbox Game Studios introduced in collaboration with Avalanche Studios: Contraband. This new title will offer us a open world and cooperative gameplay set in the 70s, in a fictional place in Bayan. During our streaming we dared to joke about the proposal, since not much is known yet. But surely the fun comes in abundance in this kind of smuggling simulator with friends.
As I said, Contraband does not appear as an upcoming release, it does not even have an approximate year of arrival. In practice we only saw a cinematic trailer that let us glimpse the artistic section of the game. However, the start of a new IP is confirmed, something that is always appreciated, and that we will have it premiere on Xbox Game Pass, like any title produced by Microsoft. We hope to know more about this game soon. In the meantime, let’s be sure it won’t be far behind, as Microsoft plans to release at least one Xbox Game Studios game every quarter. Viable task considering that they have 23 internal studios, as well as possible collaborations, like this one with Avalanche Studios.
