E-Sports – BIG loses again – threat of relegation from Valorant Challengers – Sport

Berlin (dpa) – The Valorant professionals from BIG remain without a win in the last game of the preliminary round at the Challengers. In the last group game, the team lost to M3 Champions, previously Gambit Esports.

“A heartbreaking season for us,” BIG’s Twitter account said after the match. Instead of mourning, BIG is looking ahead: “No time to be depressed because we have to prepare for relegation.”

With five defeats from five games, the Berlin e-sports organization is at the end of the Challengers preliminary round group A. Together with SuperMassive Blaze, bottom of group B, the team has to compete against the eight champions of the new regional leagues in the Challengers Promotion.

The situation is different for M3 Champions, previously Gambit Esports. After a three-week suspension, M3C took the lead in Group A by beating BIG. Following the Russian attack in Ukraine, the e-sportsmen compete as an independent team.

The second game of the day between Natus Vincere and FunPlus Phoenix had to be postponed to Friday due to technical problems.
