A 30-year-old was driving his e-scooter on Wednesday, April 5, around 5 p.m. on Brenner-Schäffer-Straße in Weiden. There, officers from the Weiden Police Inspectorate stopped him and subjected him to a check. They found that his vehicle had an expired insurance license plate on it, according to the police report.
He was unable to provide proof of existing insurance. In addition, the police officers had found “drug-typical abnormalities”. The driver then admitted to the use of narcotics and blood was drawn from him. He wasn’t allowed to continue. The police are now investigating the 30-year-old for violating the Compulsory Insurance Act and the Road Traffic Act.
