E-Commerce Excellence Award “E-Commerce Star 2021” continues – Events

The application for the Latvian e-commerce annual award “E-commerce star 2021” continues, in which the most outstanding Latvian e-commerce companies will be identified. In the first two weeks, the number of applications has already exceeded one and a half hundred! Until April 8, every company working in Latvia that offers to buy its goods or services remotely has the opportunity to apply, get an assessment and inspire others with its experience.

The E-Commerce Star competition is taking place for the first time, and its goal is to highlight and honor the best Latvian online stores, which have managed to shine convincingly in their field, reflect good practice and inspire others to start selling in the digital environment. The supporters of the competition are companies Printful a Omniva Latvia, and will assess the quality, creative excellence and innovation of e-shop digital solutions.

“In the second week since the announcement of the competition, more than 150 applications have been received, and so far the largest number of applications has been received from small business representatives and industry e-shops. This means that we can be proud of active and purposeful entrepreneurs who appreciate the opportunity not only to show themselves, but also to listen to the jury’s evaluations, thus further developing our e-shop, “says the chairman of the e-commerce star 2021 competition, digital agencies Element the host Arnis Jēkabsons.

You can apply for your e-shop competition “E-commerce star 2021” on the website www.ekomercijaszvaigzne.lv. Registration for the competition is free of charge, and one e-shop has the opportunity to apply in one or more categories, according to its field of activity and scale:

  1. Small business – small producer or service provider with 1‒9 employees.

  2. Manufacturers – a manufacturer with more than 10 employees.

  3. Industry stores – An e-shop representing only one industry.

  4. Multisector stores – e-shop representing different industries.

  5. Service providers – an e-shop that provides services.

  6. Apps – Companies that provide their e-commerce services in a mobile app.

  7. Exporters – a company that sells products abroad.

  8. Platform stores (marketplace) – An e-shop operating on a global e-commerce platform.

  9. B2B e-commerce sites – e-shop serving other companies.

  10. Global e-shops – e-shop, whose website and services are localized in Latvia.

The “E-Commerce Star 2021” award ceremony on May 26 will honor the best e-shops in each category, while Grand Prize The winner will receive a special prize – a glass cup made by Latvian glass artist and designer Artis Nīmanis.

The e-commerce star competition takes place for the first time in 2021, and its goal is to highlight the best e-commerce companies in Latvia in ten different categories, evaluating three main criteria: e-shop usability, design and innovation.
