FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — It is certain that Ananda Raehan will not participate with the PSM Makassar squad to compete in the 2023/2024 AFC Cup.
That’s because this young player received permission to join the Indonesian U-24 National Team which will compete in the 2023 Asian Games.
Together with the Indonesian U-24 National Team itself, Ananda Raehan and 21 other players will prepare to appear at the 2023 Asian Games which will take place in Hangzhou, China.
The event is planned to start from 23 September to 8 October 2023. However, for the sport of soccer, it has started on 19 September 2023.
“For Ananda Raehan, yes, he got permission from the club,” said Media Officer, Sulaiman Abdul Karim to Fajar.co.id, Saturday (16/9/2023).
Meanwhile, PSM Makassar itself will play its first match in the group H phase of the AFC Cup and fly to Vietnam.
Yakob Sayuri and friends will face Hai Phong at Lach Tray Stadium, Haiphong, on Thursday (21/9/2023).
By joining Ananda Raehan in the Indonesian U-23 National Team squad, coach Bernardo Tavares again has to fill a big hole in the midfield.
Responding to Ananda Raehan’s absence, football observer Budiardjo Talib did not recommend that Dzaky Asraf return to playing as a midfielder.
Because according to him, the young player still needs more playing minutes in the team, especially since this is not his original position.
“Dzaky Asraf is not incapable but needs to play minutes,” said Budiardjo Thalib when contacted by Fajar.co.id, Monday (18/9/2023).
