Until May 12 at 11:59 p.m., the deadline for submitting electronic applications of beneficiaries and providers for their participation in the “children’s accommodation program in children’s camps year 2024» of the Public Employment Service (DYPA), whose total budget amounts to 35 million euros.
The program concerns 70,000 checks for children aged 6-16 and will be implemented from June 15, 2024 to September 10, 2024 for children with typical development and until September 20, 2024 for children with a disability of 50% or more.
As stated by the commander of DYPA, Spyros Protopsaltis, speaking to APE-MBE, “the DYPA children’s camp program is part of the actions we implement, so that alongside promoting employment we support our fellow citizens and their families, serving the social our role”.
According to Mr. Protopsaltis, this year, DYPA proceeded to further improve the camp program, with the aim of strengthening vulnerable groups, by introducing a provision for scoring disabled people and single parents. Also, for the first time, those who have not participated in the program in the past and those who applied in the last two years, but did not receive a check, are scored.
“At the same time, with the support of businesses in the sector, the camp program highlights the value it has for us at DYPA to provide the children of the beneficiaries with the opportunity to enjoy carefree holidays, to socialize and participate in recreational and educational activities, as well as to parents to decompress from the demands of everyday life. We continue to methodically upgrade the social policy programs, in order to provide quality services to the unemployed, the workers and their families,” Mr. Protopsaltis underlines.
The beneficiaries
Beneficiaries are the parents or guardians (guardians, guardians, etc.) of beneficiary children, who:
- are employees with a dependent employment relationship under private law at the end of the deadline for submitting applications or
- are insured in the e-EFKA in their professional category with contributions in favor of the unemployment branch of DYPA at any time between 01/01/2023 and the day before the application deadline or
- are unemployed with a continuous period of unemployment of at least three months, on the date of the application deadline.
The income of the beneficiaries of all categories must not exceed 30,000 euros, except for the long-term unemployed, who, if divorced or married, must have an income of up to 16,000 euros or 24,000 euros respectively, increased by 5,000 euros per child, while, if they are single parents, they must have an income of up to 29,000 euros, increased by 5,000 euros per child, after the first.
The maximum length of stay is 15 consecutive days, including the days of arrival and departure, while in the camps operating in the fire-affected municipalities of Istiaia-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Ag. Annas, but also in camps in the Region of Thessaly, the stay can last up to 30 consecutive days.
Submitting applications
Applications are submitted exclusively online, through the Unified Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov.gr), with TAXISnet codes, at the online address: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/kataskenoseis/programmata-kataskenoseon-oaed.
Specifically, the route is: Home-Employment and insurance-Camps-Camp programs of the Public Employment Service DYPA.
It is noted that employees and unemployed people who are subsidized for the participation of their children in a camp program of any other organization for the year 2024 cannot participate in the program.
Also, starting this year, providers from the previous year will be automatically included in the register of providers, as long as they update their participation documents.
