Dynamo fans celebrate team and promoted

Dynamo gets off, but the fans celebrate anyway.

Dresden – Who is experiencing this? You dismount and maybe 4000 fans celebrate loudly in front of the stadium.

Indeed, this is only possible in Dresden. Already during the game, the dynamo fans could be heard loud and clear. After the game, the team thanked them – and they celebrated it as if they were promoted and not relegated.

There were so many fans that even the tram had to stop working for a short time. People wherever the eye just looked, it was overwhelming. Absolutely exceptional.

Anyone who can still remember 2014 knows that on the last relegation the team didn’t have much time to leave the city. Now she was celebrated, also as a thank you for the – ultimately hopeless – struggle of the past four weeks.

“I heard it already during the game. There must have been a wedding, so it popped,” laughed Markus Kauczinski, who enjoyed the bathroom in the crowd.

“It is significant for the region, for Dresden. It is just awesome. I felt before that something was going on today, that people were there, that they were with us, that they had noticed that we were committed. I don’t want to know what’s going to happen if we climb up here, “Kauczinski would like to take another dip in the crowd in eleven months.

The 50-year-old also sees the applause from the fans as recognition. “We go out with our heads held high. It’s a sad moment for them. Nevertheless, you can see that they stand together and do what Dynamo does with their hearts. It’s a good sign for the future.”

According to the police, who were on site with around 130 emergency services, administrative offense proceedings were initiated because of the burning of pyrotechnics. Since the corona distance rules were also not complied with, the officials also initiated further proceedings.

Head of the police operation, police chief Matthias Imhof (40): “With regard to the violations of the Saxon Corona Protection Regulation, the principle of proportionality is decisive for us. Therefore, our intervention in the use of physical coercive measures has its limits track any administrative offenses found. “
