Kevin Broll (26) is one of the few Dynamo pros who took part in the last fall into the third division. Now the second sporting worst case scenario is looming in just two years…
NIGHTMARE DESCENT!
How does Dynamo’s number one deal with this? “I feel like I’ve experienced everything at Dynamo, so I’m primarily doing it myself,” reveals Broll before the game on Sunday (1.30 p.m.) in Nuremberg.
While he stands between the posts like an active volcano on fire, “Brollo” is more of the quiet type in his private life, enjoying walks with his friend Maria and Pomeranian Simba. “Home is at home, I can switch off very well there.”
Despite the difficult situation, the keeper is confident that this time he will be able to stay up in the league. “The team spirit in the team is really good, we didn’t have that two years ago. The trainer also makes sure that no one takes a step less.”
The first two games under new coach Guerino Capretti also give Broll courage despite the manageable success (1:2 in Bremen, 1:1 against St. Pauli).
“We played really good football at times and created a lot of chances against the two top teams,” he explains. “Now we have to keep our nerves in the end, hurry up with our possibilities.”
It would be nice if the knot finally bursts in Nuremberg after nine games in a row without a win – his coach sees it that way too. Capretti: “We are ready. And finally ready for a threesome!”
