‘Dying Light 2’ Announces Trailer and Release Date

There were more than five years of waiting – counting almost a year of postponement in regards to the original release date – but we finally have news from ‘Dying Light 2 Stay Human’, the sequel to game from zombies Techland Open World.

In the first episode of ‘Dying 2 Know’, the developer revealed not only a gameplay trailer for the title, but its new release date: December 7th. And that’s not all, since in Brazil, Techland sent notice that the game arrives with dubbing and subtitles in Portuguese. Pre-order is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The game’s plot takes place twenty years after the events of ‘Dying Light’, in what Techland World Director Thomas Gerbaud called “beyond the apocalypse”. Scientists studying the virus that caused the initial contamination let the organism escape (accidentally or not) and it wipes out 98% of the population.

“It’s a scenario where the world lost the war to the virus, so you don’t need to have played the first ‘Dying Light’ to understand the story of this one,” explains Gerbaud. In this new reality, three factions of human groups control – and dispute – the city during the day, while at night it is dominated by the monsters that evolved and mutated from the early undead.

‘Dying Light 2 Stay Human’ promises an even more complex dynamic between characters, with the protagonist having to interact, fulfill missions and even sabotage the different groups of survivors, as well as much, much more parkour. With the street level occupied by zombies, humanity had to move to the tops of buildings – and it is in this transition that the action takes place.

The game is available in three physical editions, Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s, as well as three digital editions, Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate. Anyone who buys the game before launch will receive the exclusive digital Reload Pack, which features the Reload look and Reload skins for gun and glider. The Collector’s Edition of ‘Dying Light 2 Stay Human’ also comes with a book with the game arts and a statue.

For those who want to catch up, Techland has released ‘Dying Light Platinum Edition’, a pack that contains all the DLC that have been released so far for the original game, and is available on Steam, GOG, PlayStation Store (only for subscribers of the PlayStation Plus) and Microsoft Store.
