We previously announced that on January 23, “Everton”, which is showing a weak performance this season, fired London “Chelsea” legend Frank Lampard from the position of head coach.
The original first choice for the position of head coach was the Argentine Marcelo Bielsa, however made him anxious a team composition that does not suit his style of play and the frequent firing of coaches. Thus, the challenge to keep “Everton” in the Premier League has been accepted by the 51-year-old Englishman Sean Dyche, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Dychs, who did not play in England’s strongest championship during his playing career, started his coaching career in Watford in 2011, but moved to Burnley in 2012. Under the leadership of Dych, the Burnley club played in the Premier League for six years in a row until leaving it in 2022.
Dych will make his debut at the helm of “Everton” club on February 4, when the Liverpool club will host the tournament leader “Arsenal” of London at their “Goodison Park” stadium.
With 15 points in 20 games, Everton ranks 19th among 20 clubs in the English Premier League.
